JOHN FIELD has been active in the magic world for over thirty years. A former member of The London Society of Magicians, he is currently a member of The Magic Circle, The International Brotherhood of Magicians and, most importantly, the catalyst for founding The Surrey Society of Magicians, one of Britain's newest and most successful magic clubs.

As well as being an expert at close-up magic, as a stage performer he specialises in Magic of the Mind. This sensational act defies explanation as thoughts of members of the audience are predicted in writing before they take place!

Over the years, John has developed a talk based on the history of magic which includes reference to some of the great legends such as Houdini. Throughout, the talk is illustrated with practical demonstrations of this ancient art and the different styles of magic seen today.  This talk is especially suited for an after-dinner speech with a difference.

A solicitor by profession, his experience of business life has helped in honing the talk to a concise but entertaining event. John has also wide knowledge of service organisations having been a member of Round Table for fourteen years (past Chairman of Kingston upon Thames Round Table No 19) and he is currently an active member of Kingston Rotary Club.
